The Senior Data Analyst pairs solid BI foundations with advanced analytics techniques —predictive modelling, customer segmentation, propensity scoring, price elasticity analysis — to deliver forward looking intelligence and self service assets that inform day to day commercial, marketing and merchandizing strategies.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Pricing & Margin Optimization – Construct price elasticity curves and what if pricing scenarios to guide commercial decisions.
• Merchandise Assortment Insights – Deliver assortment performance dashboards and clustering analysis to support the buying team.
• Development and maintenance of ML-models in production – Ongoing maintenance and enhancements to existing predictive/churn/retention models.
• Insight Generation – Translate ambiguous business questions into analytically answerable problems; deliver actionable recommendations with quantified impact.
• Advanced Analytics Delivery – Build and validate predictive models (classification, regression, time series, clustering) using Python/R and SQL on AWS hosted data.
• Stakeholder Partnering – Embed with domain teams (e.g., Marketing, Loyalty, commercial planning); facilitate workshops, prioritize backlogs, and champion data driven culture.
• Data Stewardship – Ensure data quality, lineage documentation and model reproducibility; contribute to governance standards and metric definitions.
• Enablement & Upskilling – Share best practices through demos, brown bags and code reviews; mentor junior analysts when onboarded.
Job requirement:
• 5+ years in data analytics or data science roles within retail, e commerce or finance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Statistics, Computer Science, Econometrics, Mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Demonstrated delivery of predictive models and customer segmentation that drove measurable commercial impact.
• Hands on experience building dashboards and semantic models in Power BI or equivalent BI tooling.
• Programming: Expert Python or R (tidyverse, caret) for data wrangling and modelling.
• SQL & Data Modelling: Proficient SQL; capable of designing star / lakehouse schemas in Redshift or similar.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics or equivalent preferred.
